Getting Started with Wally Forum QA

Prerequisites​

  • Python 3 + requirements.txt deps
  • AWS credentials with SES send permission
  • Access to TeamFleetStudio/wally-forum-qa

Installation​

git clone https://github.com/TeamFleetStudio/wally-forum-qa.git
cd wally-forum-qa/accessibility-question-scraper
python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt
cp .env.example .env

Configure .env​

SENDER_EMAIL=notifications@fsgarage.in
RECIPIENT_EMAILS=
CC_EMAILS=
AWS_DEFAULT_ACCESS_KEY_ID=
AWS_DEFAULT_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=
AWS_DEFAULT_REGIONS=

Add Discourse credentials if using post_to_discourse.py (see that module).

Local / Lambda invoke​

Default Lambda event (last 24h):

Custom window:

Reddit failures

Reddit scrape errors are logged and the run continues with SO + UX SE results.

Verification​

  • Handler returns successfully
  • SES delivers digest to RECIPIENT_EMAILS
  • Question list includes source tags (stackoverflow, ux_stackexchange, reddit)
