Claude GitHub Actions Plugin Overview

Internal Claude Code plugin for Fleet Studio's git workflow automation, built by Thanush Babu. Ships five slash commands that standardize branching, committing, and PR management across the team's Claude Code sessions.

What is the Claude GitHub Actions Plugin?​

A Claude Code plugin marketplace (fleet-studio) containing one plugin (fleet-git-workflow) that adds five slash commands - /new-branch, /feature-branch, /commit, /stage-pr, /prod-pr - so every engineer's Claude session follows the same branch-naming, commit-message, and PR-raising conventions instead of ad hoc git usage.

Key Features​

  • /new-branch: Creates a branch from an explicit or auto-detected parent (checks dev → develop → development in order), confirming the parent before branching.
  • /feature-branch: Auto-generates a feature/<kebab-case-description> branch name from a plain-English description, syncing with the parent branch first.
  • /commit: Stages current changes and generates a conventional commit message when none is given.
  • /stage-pr: Commits, pushes, and raises a PR from the current branch into dev, checking for conflicts first.
  • /prod-pr: Raises a release PR from dev to main, summarizing the merges included and checking for conflicts.
  • Marketplace packaging: .claude-plugin/marketplace.json + plugins/fleet-git-workflow/.claude-plugin/plugin.json so the whole team installs the same command set via /plugin marketplace add + /plugin install, rather than copying command files by hand.
  • Safety rules baked into every command: never force-push, never skip confirming the parent branch, always warn before branching onto an existing name.
